Chinese Artists
(1): Zhang Daqian
Zhang Daqian (1899 –1983) was one of the best-known and most prodigious Chinese artists of the twentieth century. Originally known as a guohua (traditionalist) painter. He was proficient in painting, calligraphy, sculpture and poetry, and is especially famous for his landscape as well as lotus paintings.

(2): Qi Baishi
Qi Baishi (1864-1957) was one of the most well-known contemporary Chinese painters. Some of Qi’s major influences include the Ming Dynasty artist Xu Wei and the early Qing Dynasty painter Zhu Da. The subjects of his paintings include almost everything, commonly animals, scenery, figures, vegetables, and so on. In his later years, many of his works depict mice, shrimps, or birds. Qi Baishi is particularly known for painting shrimps.

(3): Xu Beihong
Xu Beihong (1895-1953) was primarily known for his Shui-mo Hua (Chinese ink-and-wash painting) of horses and birds and one of the first Chinese artists to articulate the need for artistic expressions that reflected a new modern China at the beginning of the 20th century. He was also regarded as one of the first to create monumental oil paintings with epic Chinese themes – a show of his high proficiency in an essential Western art technique.

(4): Huang Binhong
Huang Binhong (1865-1955) was a painter and art theorist who faced with the challenge of a new society in 20th-century China. He incorporated fresh ideas into traditional Chinese painting and developed calligraphic strokes in his works, forming a luxuriant and richly integrated style in which he deftly manipulated solid and void.

(5): Pan Tianshou
Pan Tianshou (1897-1971), Chinese painter, art educator, and art theorist who was one of the most important traditional Chinese painters of the 20th century, following Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi and Huang Binhong, promoted the development of Chinese painting.

（1）：大千江湖——張大千
張大千（1899-1983），是二十世紀中國畫壇最具傳奇色彩對國畫大師，無論是繪畫、書法、篆刻、詩詞都無所不通。早期專心研習古人書畫，特別在山水畫方面卓有成就。後旅居海外，畫風工寫結合，重彩。水墨融為一體，尤其是潑墨与潑彩，開創了新的藝術風格。

（2）：國畫宗師——齊白石
齊白石（1864-1957）二十世紀十大畫家之一，世界文化名人。齊白石主張藝術“妙在似與不似之間”衰年變法，繪畫師法徐渭、石濤、吳昌碩等，形成獨特等大寫意國畫風格，開紅花墨叶一派，尤以瓜果蔬菜，花鳥蟲魚為工絕，兼及人物、山水，名重一時，與吳昌碩共享“南吳北濟”之譽。他的繪畫，以其純朴的民間藝術風格與傳統的文人畫風相配合，達到中國相待花鳥最高峰。

（3）：徐悲鴻——一洗萬古凡馬空
徐悲鴻（1895-1953）.中國現代美術事業的奠基者，傑出的畫家和美術教育家。徐悲鴻的作品熔古今中外技法於一爐，顯示了極高的藝術技巧和廣博的藝術修養，是古為今用、洋為中用的典範，在中國美術史上起到了承前啓後。繼往開來的巨大作用。他擅長素描、油畫、中國畫。在創作上他以“師法造化，尋求真理”為原則，他把西方藝術手法融入到中國畫中，創造了新穎而獨特的風格。他的素描和油畫則滲入了中國畫的筆墨韻味。他的創作題材廣泛，山水、花鳥、走獸、人物、歷史、神話，無不落筆有神，栩栩如生。

（4）：畫人黃賓虹
黃賓虹（1866-1955），中國近現代美術史上的開派巨匠，有“千古以來第一的用墨大師”之譽。20世紀的中國畫壇上，曾經有兩位響噹噹的人物，“南黃北齊”。“北齊”：齊白石。“南黃”便是山水畫大師黃賓虹。他的思考和實踐，有著深刻的世紀之變的印記，融社會變法之精神於繪畫之中的獨特做法，更是貫穿了他的一生，最總以“渾厚華滋”的繪畫風格，成為享譽中外的一代藝術學人。黃賓虹的繪畫價值是全方位的。除其山水畫外，花鳥畫叶境界不凡，書法成就更不能等閑視之；他還有着自己的畫學理論建構；其金石篆刻、文字學、考古學也頗有建樹。

（5）：潘天壽——用一生捍衛中國文化本位
潘天壽（1898-1971），現代著名畫家，美術教育家。他對繼承和發展民族繪畫充滿信心與毅力。為捍衛傳統繪畫的獨立性竭盡全力，奮斗一生，並且形成一整套中國畫教學的體系，影響全國。他的藝術博采眾長，尤於石濤、八大、吳昌碩諸家中用宏取精，形成個人獨特風格。不僅筆墨蒼古、凝練老辣，而且大氣磅礡，雄渾奇崛，具有深人心魄的力量感和現代結構美。他精於寫意花鳥和山水，偶作人物。尤擅畫鷹、八哥、蔬果及松梅、梅等。落筆大膽，點染細心。墨綵縱橫交錯，構圖清新蒼秀，氣勢磅礡，趣韻無窮。畫面靈動，引人入勝。
