Shennongjia A Place of Endless Vitality
Situated in western Hubei Province in Central China, Shennongjjia was listed as a China National Nature Reserve for Forest and Wildlife Species in 1986. Three climate zones, low, mid mountain and subalpine, are found at an altitude ranging from 398 to 3,105 meters, and the region is home to more than 3,000 kinds of plants and over 1,000 animal species. Snub-nosed Monkeys, unique to China, are the pixies of the Shennongjia forest. The number of the monkeys has grown from 500 in 1983 to 1,200 today. For wild Snub-nosed Monkeys, the growth rate is astonishing.

1986年被列為中國國家森林及野生動物類型自然保護區的神農架，位於中國湖北省西部，自古以來就充滿着令人神往的神奇色彩。從海拔398米到3105米，形成了低山，中山和亞高山三個氣候帶，養育著3000多種植物，這為神農架1000多種動物提供了充足的食物和良好的棲息環境。金絲猴，中國的特有動物種類，就是神農架的林中精靈。在研究人員的精心養護下，神農架地區的金絲猴總體數量，從1983年的500只，上升到今天的1200只。這樣的增長速度，對於野生金絲猴來說是驚人的。
