3) Also Some important information for the audience:

a. Richmond 

Property Taxes are due once a year in Richmond on the first business day of July.

Due date: Thursday, July 2, 2020

Last day to pay without penalty: Wednesday, September 30, 2020

Residents will have until September 30 to pay their property taxes without penalty, bringing them into line with the provincial deadline for businesses and providing more time for property owners facing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City is encouraging those property owners in a position to meet the annual July 2 tax payment due date to still do so to help keep City programs and services in place to the highest level possible without cuts.

b. Vancouver: 

Property tax is due twice a year

Advance taxes are due the second business day of February

Main taxes are due the second business day of July (The 2020 July deadline has been extended to September 30, 2020.

c. Burnaby:

Utility Fees are due March 16, 2020.

Property Tax is due July 3, 2020.

For residents able to pay by the July 3, 2020 due date, we encourage you to do so. For those needing extra time to pay, the 10% late payment penalty has been postponed until September 30, 2020. 

d. Surrey:

The 2020 due date for property taxes is July 2, 2020. In order to provide financial relief to our residents, the last day for payment without penalties is September 30, 2020. This change in penalty date will allow a 90-day extension to pay taxes without late penalties. A 10% penalty will be levied to all accounts with outstanding balances on October 1, 2020. The penalty is also applicable on the homeowner grant portion of your taxes.
